Taoist Cui accidentally released the treasure-gathering golden toad while trying to read a heavenly book. The golden toad, desiring the prosperity of the human world, reincarnated as a human named Dou Zhanlong. To escape a heavenly calamity, the golden toad split Dou Zhanlong's three souls and seven spirits, creating nine clones that scattered across different locations. Each of the nine Dou Zhanlongs existed in parallel timelines, and every death resulted in a new clone. They faced a total of "nine deaths and thirteen disasters." Our story begins with the first Dou Zhanlong.
