One Slash to the Heavens

Crime is timeless. By the year 2071, humanity has spread across the galaxy, establishing settlements on other planets similar to those on Earth. These new societies are plagued by murder, drug use, and theft, leading to a rise in tough bounty hunters hunting intergalactic outlaws. Spike Spiegel and Jet Black chase criminals through space to make a modest living. Beneath his goofy and carefree exterior, Spike is haunted by the burden of his violent past. Meanwhile, Jet grapples with his own troubled memories while caring for Spike and their ship, the Bebop. They are joined by the beautiful con artist Faye Valentine, the quirky child Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV, and Ein, a bioengineered Welsh corgi. As they form bonds and work to capture a colorful array of criminals, the Bebop crew's lives are disrupted by a threat from Spike's past. As a rival's maniacal scheme unfolds, Spike must choose between life with his newfound family or seeking revenge for his old wounds.
