Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You

The only thing that keeps middle-aged Sasaki going in his soul-draining job is the cheerful smile of Yamada, the young woman who works at a nearby 24-hour supermarket he often visits. After enduring a tough day of criticism from his boss, Sasaki stops by the store to have his spirits lifted by his favorite cashier. One particularly exhausting day, Sasaki arrives at the supermarket only to discover that Yamada's shift has ended. Disappointed, he looks for a place to smoke when a woman from behind the store calls him over. The bold and playful Tayama quickly points out Sasaki's habit of seeking out her coworker, even revealing his interest in Yamada to her. Now, in addition to visiting his beloved cashier Yamada, Sasaki also goes to the store to see if his new smoking companion Tayama is around. However, Tayama's mischievous nature hides more than it seems. With each cigarette, an unexpected friendship begins to develop.
